Great experience!
We had a great day on the river with Cody LaCroix and Reel Fly! Cody is very knowledgeable...I think he knows every square inch of the Guadalupe River and where the fish are! We caught beautiful rainbow trout all day, and even a large-mouth bass! I highly recommend Reel Fly for guided fishing trips. We have used them at least 4 times and will continue! Thanks!

...and we even caught fish! What a fun day on the river with Justin
For 25 years, we've run two big fishing and diving fleets in Mexico and needed a quick get-away for our anniversary so my wife and I came up for a few days with zero intention of fishing. But, I still like to check things out wherever we travel and wow...turns out we land right in the. middle of trout season! I'm a hack on the flyrod (we fish for tuna and marlin where we live) and my wife has almost zero experience, but we wandered into the Reel Fly Shop and after chatting with Thomas, we decided what-the-heck! To me, even if we did nothing more than float down this pretty river, it would be worth it! I had little confidence that my crummy flyfishing abilities would amount for anything. Thomas set us up with Justin as our guide (BTW...Thomas is great!). I've gotta say, I think we had one of the most enjoyable days on the water that I can remember in a long time. As a guide myself, it's hard to have someone else doing everything for me! But, Justin was incredible. Patient. Personable. Knowledgeable. What a day. And we even caught trout too! Most of all, my wife loved it. All about her ultimately and now she wants her own waders, gear, boots...And she wants to do more flyfishing! Oh no!!! LOL. Nothing better than seeing her smile and I guess I better save up some money because she only likes good stuff! But, just a big thank you to Reel Fly and Thomas and especially Justin for the great service and memories. Sorry to make you work so hard, Justin! Let us help next time. Even if we hadn't caught a single fish, it was a spectacular day. Can't wait to come back!

Fly Fishing the Guadalupe
Had a great of fishing on the Guadalupe for rainbow trout! The scenery was amazing and the fishing was better than that. I didn't realize what a great trout fishery the Guadalupe actually was. Our guide was the owner Brent Hodges and he made our day one that we will never forget. It was reasonably priced, quality equipment, great river side lunch, and did I mention tons of trout.
