Great time at Purtis Creek State Park
This park is best known for its fishing: a small lake lying in the center of the park is stocked with lots of bass.

Great Getaway
This was a very nice park. The hiking trails were not flat and a little challenging for my mom but I loved it. She did too, the little she got to do. The spaces, like most state parks, have a nice distance between you and your neighbor. I would love to go back and do more hiking. It was a great Getaway for Valentine's and kept my mind off the fact it was the first without my husband. He would have loved this park.

Nice Get Away
We really enjoy visiting Purtis Creek State Park. This Park is very clean and maintained daily. We watch the deer everytime we go and this time we saw two does and they each had twins babies. We hiked the the red section of the Wolf Pen Trail and it was a very easy hike. The trail was very well maintained. I would suggest that the Park developes the Eastern side of the park and put in pull through campsites for larger RVs with 50 amp plugs.
