Okay experience, glad it was for a charity but music could have been better for dance and not so LOUD!
Recently went to a benefit event here. We had not been to this venue in a long time but decided to attend this. It is easy to locate and they recently redid the front entrance and it is VERY NICE. The paved parking inside is limited when a large crowd so we had to drive to the back and park in a field and walk back up to the building(s). The buildings have a old western town façade and the signage was good and the entrance fee $20 each covered the rodeo and dance. They had food set up in a buffet type line with BBQ offerings and a Sausage Wrap. The photo for the wrap was much different than what you actually got for $5. So was not impressed although the sausage was tasty and a good size. All of the condiments were on tables in the open area with people walking in and around them constantly with no coverings. They had a couple of bars serving drinks set up but the beer selection was very limited and not your standard brands that are usually at Texas events. The inside of the building was set up nicely and large. The rodeo arena is small and rustic but has a covered wood stadium bench seating. It was entertaining even though not professional grade. The event advertised a specific band but actually had a lead in band play and hour that was not our kind of music at all and then the band that we came to listen to was suppose to play until 11 but folded up around 10:40. I guess because there was not a big crowd left and hardly anyone was dancing. They used to play traditional country but were not playing much of that. So did not get to dance much at all AND the music was WAY TOO LOUD!~~!!! The bartenders were quick and efficient. The venue has all sorts of events (benefits, weddings, cooperate etc.). Good to have something in this area but don't know how many events will be of interest.

Not worth the money or the time
We were on a bus tour and this was billed as a Western dinner with entertainment. The food had very limited choices and not that good. Desert was a choice of cookies. The entertainment consisted of two guys playing guitars and singing western songs. They could have at least worn Western style shirts and replaced their baseball hats with cowboy hats for the effect. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
