Pedernales Cellars is the winery to visit on your trip to Fredericksburg
Pedestals Cellars was by far the best winery we saw in the Fredericksburg area. The wine was outstanding, the atmosphere was exceptional, and the presentation by Erik was superb. The vibe and view alone would have me returning, but the wines really are the best - full of complex favors and diverse blends. Try them on your next trip to Fredericksburg. Plan to stay for several hours to do a tasting and just enjoy the total vibe. The property is a little off the beaten path but well worth the trip.

Great views, people and wine.
While visiting friends in Austin we paid a visit to Pedernales Cellars, a family-run boutique winery, in the Texas hill country. As they were members of this vineyard wine club, upon arrival we bypassed the tasting room and were escorted by a very knowledgeable and friendly young lady, to the small wine members club building. Where sitting in the shaded of its small covered patio, we enjoyed a bottle or two of their Texas-made tempranillo. The view is quite spectacular, as most of their 140 acres overlook the graceful sweeping surrounding hill country. There is a pick-nick area under the trees, with iron tables and chairs. TIP: This is a great place to take the whole family as there is lots of room for the children to play. If you’ve found this review helpful, I would appreciate a thumbs up below.
