highest bridge in Texas

Beautiful views. The Pecos River High Bridge is the tallest bridge in Texas. Built across the Pecos River Canyon near Langtry Texas. To view this you must enter the first picnic area on the left past Seminole Canyon. The picnic area is marked the overlook is not. well worth the side trip not only to see the bridge but for the great views of the Pecos River Canyon.

    Something Mythic
This rest area allows you to behold the mythic wonder that is The Pecos River. No it is not as mighty as the Mississippi River or nor does it have wonderous red hue of the Red River but it has something special. It captures the imagination and holds your gaze as the wind blows over you. Anymore of me trying to describe it would simply not do it justice. It si.ply must be seen and felt. A beautiful rest area with a fantastic view

Can’t just drive across - must stop!
The views from the picnic area are amazing. We drove across the bridge and stopped on the west side and then we went back across the Brie lodge and found the road up to the east side picnic area - from high above the bridge you get much better views! This bridge is the highest river bridge in Texas. It’s just beautiful, as is the river itself and the rock canyon !
