Enthusiastic & helpful
We passed through Palestine, Texas, and stopped at the visitors center really just to get info on the surrounding towns. The lady was so enthusiastic and had so many fun, free things to offer that we ended up spending half the day following her leads. This year, Palestine has a collection of artworks placed all over the town. My 8yr nephew was crazily scavenger hunting as we drove/walked through two historical neighborhoods and the downtown. We also enjoyed the Davey Dogwood scenic park. The walk out to the waterfall near Wolf Creek Lake was for the more adventurous and not well maintained, but great for the hiker type.

Friendly staff
We wished we were there earlier to collect all the information before the start of the day. The lady recommended the places to see and visit; and places to dine from fine dinning to dessert. Very friendly and informative.
