Domed IMAX immersion experience
Fort Worth's Omni Theater is a bit different from your normal IMAX experience. The theater is located in a dome. The screen is projected onto a tilted domed surface, and viewers are somewhat reclined and looking up. It is relaxing and gives an immersion experience. There are stairs, so if you need any assistance just ask...all sorts of provisions can be made to use the elevator, etc. There is also a baby "cry" room at the top for soundproof viewing. The best seats are in the center of the seating area near the middle where the projector bulb peeks through. Be sure to be alert to when they back light the screen and you realize you can see through it. Amazing! Fort Worth residents love the helicopter flyover movie clip that is shown before every show.
