Watch Othello!

Enjoyed the performance of “Othello” put on by Director Bridget Gates - performed at the Landa Slab Dance Park - and thought this free community experience was very enjoyable especially during COVID were people are hesitant to visit bars and restaurants. Chairs are there and snacks on sale. No alcohol, but you can bring your own drinks and snacks.

    Fantastic burgers
This place has so much personality! You’ll find a great variety of burgers from a classic to a mushroom Swiss. Twists on cheese fries (we liked the Garlic Parmesan) or just old-fashioned onion rings. It’s an order at the counter and no cash kind of place. The burgers are seriously some of the best around and there wasn’t a single thing our group ordered that we didn’t like. Friendly employees, and indoor and outdoor dining options. Definitely worth a try!

Access to the River is a closely guarded secret
We enjoyed our stay in New Braunfels, but found it very difficult to get near the River to just sightsee. Every street near the river seems to be marked "Permit Parking Only." I am sure there were places to enjoy the sights near downtown, but we didn't see any signage.
