1884 bridge was once part of bridge that across the Colorado River at Congress Ave

Moore's Crossing Bridge was built‎ in ‎1884. The 3 span bridge was originally part of the 6 span bridge that across the Colorado River at Congress Avenue. In 1915, 3 spans were moved to the current location but destroyed in a flood the same year. In 1922, the remaining spans were put at this location for us to enjoy. The bridge is located on the east side of Richard Moya Park (south side of the Austin airport). It was nice to walk across the historical bridge. It’s free.
