Moore Park Public Pool, Texas, United States

Wonderful family entertainment!

A wonderful place for family entertainment. Free parking. Very inexpensive entrance fee. Three separate pools for different ages and swimming levels. Friendly and professional staff. Very clean. I've gone here for parties where only the children went swimming and the adults sat in the shade and ate pizza and visited.

    Great in-town family pool.
The Moore Park public pool is very nice! It is conveniently located, inexpensive and quite attractive. For the mere cost of $1.50 per person, the Moore Park pool is a steal. The large pool is quite spacious, comfortable and clean. There is also a very cool water slide which unfortunately was broken for most of the summer of 2018. It is supposed to be fixed in time for the summer of 2019, let's hope that results to be the case. There is also a children's pool with a mini water slide and a cool, refreshing over sized sprinkler. There are a few negative things about the pool... for one, the restrooms are often poorly cleaned, foul smelling and not very private. Secondly, the vast majority of the lifeguards, both young and old, seem very immature and always just doing the bare minimum. Pool rules often apply to everyone but the staff's friends and family, who can often be seen breaking every rule without any staff intervention, as is often the case in small, workforce corrupt towns like this one. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, there isn't adequate seating for everyone at the pool, particularly not enough covered seating. With the heat here in Texas, adequate covered seating seems almost a no brainer and a mandatory courtesy, but you will not find that at the Moore Park pool. Aside from these three negative opinions, the Moore Park public pool is still a very enjoyable summer spot and one of the better, family fun summer bargains you'll find around Del Rio.
