Medina river...any other spots?
Beautiful river! Clear waters, A lot less people, and much more relaxing than floating the Comal in new Braunfels or the Guadalupe. We used the Medina river company to rent our tubes theyre cheap and i highly recommend! Does anybody know of any public spots along the river for one to go swimming and maybe have a little picnic OTHER THAN the park area they have in bandera city park??

Pleasant River Time
We enjoyed the Medina River at Pipe Creek where we rented an Airbnb. The level was a bit low, but the water was clear. Rocks and the bottom were slippery with algae. You could see fish and the bottom, which was important for swimming and jumping from rocks. Pipe Creek was an excellent location for us because there were no crowds. Access is limited. The geology was fascinating.
