$5 dance lessons on Thursday night
Stopped in to see if they had dancing on weeknights. Turns out that on Thursday night they offer $5 dance lessons. Mixed variety of ages and people. They have two sessions - beginners at 7:00 pm and advanced 8:00 pm. This night they were teaching the one-step. Class was fun so we stayed and watched the advanced class for a while.

Fun place to go for some Texas style dancing
I have been to Mavericks multiple times for some great Texas dancing (two step, triple two, waltz, west coast swing and country swing). Friday's there is a 1 hour dance class for just $5. A good intro if you have never tried it. Beware though, as the night wears on the crowd gets younger and the dance floor gets crowded. If you want to dance getting there around 8 is better. If you are going to watch, there is lots to watch from 10 on. Wednesday evenings around 8 PM there are some good dancers there if you want to dance or just watch some Texas dancing.

Great mix of GLBTA and Cowboys......
Nice outdoor area for smokers...music is a nice mix of old country, G Straight with new artists. You can only walk in a horseshoe style then have to climb the stairs by the dJ boothe. Beer is cold, prices are reasonable. Under 30 crowd and over 50 seems like nothing in between.
