Matzke Park, Texas, United States

Great place to stroll
Matzke Park has a terrific paved walking path so it’s good in any weather conditions. As you go around the fields you can ponder the arcane rules of the cricket players. These fields used to be used for soccer and lacrosse. A very nice playground for kids. This used to be located next to Matzke Elementary before it moved to a new facility. Hence the name.

Local Park, enjoyed by many
Nice having a nearby local park, with activities for people of all ages and abilities. Playground for smaller children, walking path is paved and wide enough for joggers to pass. Exercise stations are positioned throughout the park for additional workouts. Wonderful butterfly garden as well. Wish their were more trees lining the walking trail to provide extra shade.

Lots to Do at a Small, Popular, Family-Friendly Park
This family-friendly, clean, safe, well-kept, 19.4-acre (7.85 ha) park had 0.76 miles (1.22 km) of paved trails. Their terrain was mostly flat with minimal elevation change. The park was free to the public. Public safety had a post onsite. For amenities, the park had two restroom facilities, eight picnic tables sheltered under two pavilions and several other open-air picnic tables, two water fountains, at least two trail benches, a butterfly garden with eight benches, a gazebo, three exercise stations, a playground, two swing sets, a rope climb structure, two soccer fields, and a cricket field. There wasn’t much shade on the multi-use trail. The park had two parking lots: one off Jones Road and one off Copeland Road. During rush hour, it was a real hassle to exit the Jones Road parking lot through traffic near a busy intersection. I least liked the packed parking lot off Jones Road. I most appreciated having a safe local place to get basic outdoor exercise.
