Long walk to trash

This is a great state park in Texas. 2 hours from Houston and almost never full. The sites are spacious and clean. The park has two sides which are basically two separate parks with highway 190 between them. I have stayed on both sides. The north side has been repaved and sites are level. My only complaint is there is one dumpster for each side and not in the camping loop. It is a 0.9 mile walk each way from our site to the dumpster. We are in a Class A RV without a tow vehicle so we had no choice but to walk 1.8 miles to dump our trash. I understand the camping loop is a narrow one way road that trash trucks can’t get in but the dumpster was 0.4 miles from the loop entrance. It could be just outside the loop. Maybe have park hosts pick up at each site once each day from like noon to 1pm when checkout is. I don’t wand to have to drag my keep just to throw out trash

    Boyscout Campout
I drove for a large scout troop and we tent camped in the very scenic non-electric part of the park. Extremely quiet. Plenty of nice open grass for tent camping. Great hiking and biking. Nice ranger area and good bathrooms and showers. First night dipped to 31 and it was particularly freezing pretty impossible to get warm. Maybe because of the nearby water and humidity, cold temperatures feel much colder, just a note to plan accordingly. The second night was in the 40's and very doable with normal gear.
