Swimming with Small Children
I don't recommend coming to swim at this lake with small children. It gets deep really quick once you get into the water. Lots of rock erosion you have to navigate getting in and out of the lake. At least on this particular day, it was very windy and therefore really wavy. Almost felt like ocean waves.

Lake whitney state park
The lake is beautiful. Staff at park is friendly and easy going. Omg, it stinks horribly. Lots of dead fish laying around, shame on you fish cleaners!!! Any idea what that dies to babies, animals and feet? Come on, it stinks bad as well as maybe the lake turning over. It was so bad, we had to leave that area. I hope the smell comes off with a shower. I've never been in a stinky lake before. Pretty park though. Haven't been to the restrooms.
