Lake Livingston State Park, Texas, United States

4.5 (196 reviews) Wednesday: Spent Ranking #1 in Livingston State Parks

Nice Hiking Trails

My visit was focused on hiking. The park has several hiking trails of various lengths. The trails are flat with plenty of tree coverage and the surface is mostly dirt and pine needles. The Trinity Trail Trail meanders close to Lake Livingston and crosses some of the camp site areas. For those that prefer a paved hike, the Pineywoods Boardwalk offeres a more relax hike of just under a mile. The park also has plenty of slips for campers, as well as fishing and swimming areas. The facilities were clean and well maintained. There is a park store, but it closes on Mondays and Tuesdays.

    What a Spot!
What a gem of a park and superior for those with an RV. We absolutely adored the setting complete with private spaces, garbage cans on site, clean yet rustic facilities and unbelievable scenery. Being big walkers it was quite the bonus to have a beautiful walking trail right on site around the lake. We will be back!

    New and improved
It’s been years since we visited and we were pleasantly surprised by the improvements in the park. The roads have been freshly paved and many sites are now concrete. We only stayed for a day so we didn’t get to use the many trails or spend time in the lake but we have no doubts we will be back.
