New Cabins!

The new cabins are Lake Houston are amazing. Air conditioned and right on the lake, they sleep a maximum of 6 (2 queen beds and 1 pull out couch). We stayed in June - it was VERY hot and the fish in the lake had not matured enough for fishing but those would be my only complaints. The cabin was very clean and perfect for a nice weekend getaway in the wilderness.

    Nice hidden little gem
If you are looking for a place to have a little fun and relax, this place is the place. The park does have camping, cabins, A frame screened shelters and regular screened shelters, although at the present time all over night stays are not allowed due to Covid. There is also fishing at the man made lake, which was awesome today and also you get access to Peach Creek. If you need to cool off, Peach Creek is open for you to jump and cool off in the water. They do have restrooms and showers, picnic area and several trails that you can explore. All in all this place is awesome and inexpensive if you need to save a little $$$$. Give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.

    Great Family Weekend
Me and wifey had 1 rv, our son/wife and their 2 children in an rv and our daughter/husband and three children had a screen shelter. 5 grandkids ages 3 months to 5 yrs. We arrived in the rain but it cleared overnight for a great weekend. The Nature Center is perfect for the kids. It was 34 deg one morning so there was no swimming. Trails were well maintained. The rv full hookup sites were good and well placed along Lake Dabney. Sites 1 and 2 have no brush or privacy from each other and are very close. They are good to rent together. The restrooms/showers were clean. I checked eventhough I brought my own. The roads to the rv full hookup sites could use some tree limb pruning but nothing serious. It should be noted the restrooms/showers are not too close to the screen shelters behind the Nature Center.
