Lake, lots of mesquite trees and scrub brush.
My husband and I spent 2 nights (Wednesday & Thursday) in Lake Colorado City State Park with our travel trailer. We stayed in the Rolling Hills campground. Site 41 was a pull through and very long. All sites were spaced out. We had electric and water. The park has two fishing areas but one was closed. The fishing area that was closed was covered. That would have been nice in August. We fished at the other fishing pier and did not catch anything. We did not see anyone else was fishing during our stay. The park has lots of mesquite trees and scrub brush. We saw a few roadrunners and rabbits. The park was mowed nicely. There were many picnic tables with nice views of the lake. Some campsites had little views of the lake. The trails were very narrow so we stayed off them due to fear of not seeing a rattlesnake. Five or six campsites were being used. Ok park but we probably will not be back.

Needed Rest Stop
Stayed the night in a pull thru spot on our way home from Nevada to San Antonio area. Prefect for our needs. Water and Electric 50 amp. Make reservations. Easy check in. For those living close by it is a nice get away place.
