Nice gallery in an old art deco post office building
There are three gallery spaces in this converted post office building with exhibits that change on a monthly basis. Be sure to see the southwestern fine art gourd show that occurs around memorial day each year. Another must see exhibit is the Texas furniture makers show which occurs in November to December each year. A well stocked gift shop has a variety of works by local and regional artist and craftsmen.

Nice stop.
They change their shows frequently, but we caught one featuring local artists that we really enjoyed. Some very talented people featured in the gift shop. Nice side stop.

Good community asset for local artists and children
As a painter and printmaker I always like to go to museums and art centers in the towns I visit. The remodeling of the Old Post Office in Kerrville into an Art Center shows the community commitment to the value of visual art. Exhibition space is excellent. On view were interesting student works from various grade levels. Also, some work by local artists that were technically quite good if not especially outstanding. I hope this Center includes some museum quality traveling shows in its yearly schedule to stimulate new ideas and ways of seeing. Overall, well worth visiting. Most of "say a little more" boxes below do not apply.
