A very pretty courthouse in a very small town - definitely worth a stop
We enjoy looking at old Texas Courthouses and this one in Karnes City does not disappoint. There isn't much else in town and this structure really towers over the little town. It was built in 1894 in a "Romanesque Revival" design. The clock tower and turrets are really nicely done. From here, you should drive a few miles north to the historic village of Helena which has the original county courthouse.
