Fantastic & Friendly on the Frío
At Josh's we pride ourselves in having the absolute BEST customer service! Each and every summer we have a great team of young locals, always happy & ready to serve you. We are here to make your vacation that much more enjoyable! There are many stores on the Frio River but few that have been around as long or that can compare to the beauty of the one of a kind woodsy, cabin decor you find when you step into Josh's! If you want to go to the most unique experience please come to Josh's. Being a family store, Josh's makes sure to have something for everyone in the family, so please stop in and visit a while, have some coffee (espresso, lattes, frappes and cappuccinos) or homemade gelato (Italian ice-cream). Excellent service!
The staff inside and outside were friendly, efficient, helpful, and excellent. Walking in the store and picking up souvenirs and few things to make the Frio float a little more fun was easy- the inventory was perfect. Checking out was easy and the clerk was able to answer many questions as we had not been to Concan before. The staff running the shuttle were also knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and helpful. I highly recommend Josh's for a Frio stop!!

Absolutely the BEST outfitter in Concan!
My girlfriend and I went to the Frio about 3 weeks ago and rented our tubes from Josh’s. From the first moment we arrived, we were greeted with professionalism and energetic smiles from everyone. We had a great experience with them and also really enjoyed their selection of items to purchase in the gift shop. But this is only part of the story... About 30 minutes into our float, I dropped my truck keys in the river. It was probably 7 feet deep and very murky. We tried to find them with goggles, but to no avail. So there we were 5 hours from home on a Saturday with no keys, no wallets, no cell service. It was a panicking situation. We made it to the half way point and we caught a shuttle back to Josh’s. We met Josh at this point and I can’t begin to describe how helpful he was to us in trying to get us out of our situation. It was Saturday after 12, so the nearest dealership in Uvalde was closed and we couldn’t find any close locksmiths. Josh let us use his personal cell phone to call someone to come get us in Uvalde where our hotel room was and in the meantime he arranged a local locksmith to come and unlock my truck so that we could get our wallets. Josh then drove us to Uvalde to our hotel in his personal vehicle (probably a 50 mile round trip). When we got there he would not let me pay him anything for it. He only asked that we come back and float the river again. Well let me tell you we will be back and we will only use Josh’s Frio River Outfitters. He is such a good person and runs a great business. I love supporting local businesses and we look forward to going and seeing Josh again soon! If you are going to the Frio, make sure to go by his store, they will take excellent care of you!
