Great RV Park

What a surprise. We were tired and just looking for a decent place to spend the night in our RV that wouldn't cost us an arm and a leg! What a great surprise to happen along the Gonzales Parks and Recreation Dept RV Park at Independence Park. We camped in Site 6 and had full hook-ups (water, electric, and sewer) No Cable or Wi-Fi, but no problem. Our antenna picked up stations from San Antonio so we had great reception and plenty of channels to watch. I had my smartphone that tethered to our computer and iPad, so we were all set. This was one of the quietest RV Parks we have ever been to! It was wonderful and we had the Guadalupe River flowing right next to the campsite, so it was lovely. All this for only $25! I would definitely recommend and I will be back!

    Ok park
My husband and I went to Independence Park on a Tuesday in August. The park had a golf course, baseball fields, a swimming pool (closed on the day we arrived), a group pavilion, playground equipment, picnic tables with grills, RV campground and was located along the river. The campground was rustic with a couple old travel trailers but had full hook-ups (water, electric, and sewer) and half of the sites were located along the river. After selecting a camping site, pay at the club house. $25 per day/night.

    Pleasant camping.
At our site we could see the river so was pleasant. The camping area doesn't have a lot of sites. Park near a busy road had some road noise, but set back far enough it was ok. We had good wifi at our site. They charge extra transaction fee if use a credit card to pay for camping site. Person who checked us in was very pleasant. There was a playground a ways from the camping area.
