Rather underwhelming
If you have been to Bryce or probably any other hoodoo area, do not wast your time. A couple of interesting shapes but that's it. Pretty, set along the Rio Grande, but not worth the effort. Saw some others bring tubes to float. That looked like fun.

Worth a stop!
I must admit I had to look up the definition of hoodoo. The short answer is a column or pinnacle of weathered rock. The word originated in Africa. It was thought that the rock structures were strange animal shapes and possibly contained evil spirits. Sometimes, the rock shapes are referred to as fairy towers or on the other end of the spectrum, goblins. I didn’t see anything like that (just rocks), but it is fun to let your imagination go wild! The kids will like it here as the boulder scrambling is relatively easy and leads to the El Rio. The trail is about 1.2 miles total. Worth a stop!

Unique Natural Scupltures
If you're in the Big Bend area and have the time, head west on 170 to see the hoodoos. They are quite interesting rock formations formed by erosion. It's an easy walk, as is the walk down to the river.
