    Date night with my girlfriend
The Hill country wine shop in Wimberley Texas is one of America's premier wine experiences. Not only do they know wines from grape origin to vineyard to processing to palette, but the owners, Don and Jill Frazier, know the wines of Texas California and the world better than any wine shop proprietors we've met. In fact, I know of no other place with a fraction of the knowledge of Texas wines as them. They have treated me and my girlfriend, Ann, to rare experiences. Ann is extremely picky about her wine. 50 years ago she lived in Europe and developed an appreciation for fine wines. The Frazier's were so adept at ascertaining the pallet nuances of others that they were able to present the exact wines for her distinguished tastes. Ann drinks perhaps one bottle per month. During our first tasting we bought three months worth. We've gone back for several of her favorites to share with special guests. Buying wines at Hill country wines one of the ways I show my love for her.

A fun break in the day...
A great time exporing fine Texas wines. A very mom and pop sort of place. The owners often work behind the counter. Jill and Beth are very hospitable and knowledgable. I wasn't aware that Texas made so many different types of wine. They also have really cool souvenirs and candles that smelled amazing!
