Helium Molecule
Very neat Helium molecule sculpture. This sculpture is also a time capsule, filled with books and memorabilia from 1968. It's located outside the science museum. Quick photo stop opportunity for travelers.

A neat stop
We had some time to kill while in town so we stopped at the Helium Monument. While it wasn’t my date’s first choice we had the extra time so we figured why not. It was interesting and unique and that’s all I can really ask of a monument. With info on the walls and several time capsules in the center it was an interesting quick stop. If you’re a geek like me you’ll enjoy it. If simple attractions aren’t your thing maybe not a great choice to stop at though.

You either get it or you don't...
If a monument to the second lightest element (mined heavily in the area) sounds dumb to you, it likely will be. But, if you are nerd minded, if you can hardly believe that such a thing could exist in our sad idiocracy, this is a must see. It is also a time capsule and is filled with Helium; so even more awesome.
