Something for everyone
I love this park! There is loop around water that is under two miles. You can feed ducks. People fish. There is a huge playground for kids and a huge dog park where your dogs can even swim. Bathrooms are always clean. People bike here too.

Serenity
This park isn't a secret. Depending on the time of day you will definitely encounter other folks out for a walk, run, ride, etc. But it is definitely not crowded. A walk around the lake at sunset is lovely. And if you are up for an extra effort, there are exercise stations located periodically along the trail. Very cute! There's a nice playground for kids. I always see people fishing there but haven't noticed a lot of catches. There's a dog park there that I've not explored but it seems to be well organized for the furry members of your family. The walking trail goes thru this area but I've never encountered any pets who weren't leashed and well behaved. It's a nice, local park. Well maintained. The park and parking area does close down at dusk, so be aware of completing your exercise and exiting before that time.

Swimming area for dogs!
Visited the big dog side: Aggressive dogs at a dog park are always a concern. There were about 5 other dogs at the same time we were there with our 6 month yellow lab. All of them came over to join us at the beach area and all got along very well. And nope, didn't see any snakes or alligators. The trees are very immature still and there is close to zero shade, so be prepared for hot sunshine. Just like everywhere people take their dogs, some people do not clean up after them, so be prepared for some extra piles all over. Bascially, well maintained and a good place to take a dog.
