This was our second time to visit Granbury. Both time we attended a play at the 1896 opera house. This trip West Side Story was the production scheduled. It was excellent - first rate. All seats in the opera house have great sight lines. Beautifully restored, friendly and informative attendants.

"A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline" + seating advice for petite people
The performers and musicians were excellent, and the Granbury Opera House is beautiful! We sat in the front row of the balcony, however, and next time I would sit elsewhere. The seats on this row are on a platform , probably to ensure that one can see over the railing, but it means that there are an extra 6 inches between you and the floor. I am 5'1 and my feet did not touch the ground, which I find uncomfortable. This is the only row I observed with this problem. Seating is tiered, so I would have been better off in the second row---no platform and still able to see over the people in front of me. The show was so enjoyable, though, that it distracted from my awkward seat. I would love to come back to this theater.
