    A walk in the park
Beautiful walking/biking path right in the heart of historic Granbury with ponds, streams, bridges, and lovely shaded areas. You have a choice of staying right in the park area (@1mi.) or venturing further for a 6 mi. walk or ride. This is a nice place to take a break from shopping or to just take a leisurely stroll. Also good for families (park area is stroller-friendly) or seniors (places to sit).

    Well used and so pretty
If you have never been on the Granbury Hike and Bike Trail you are missing a wonderful opportunity. From end to end you can take the trail from Bridge Street just east of the square to the Granbury Airport. We walk this trail all the time because it is clean, safe, well used, dog friendly and has so much to see. Starting at Bridge Street the trail crosses over the Lambert Branch of the lake and then heads toward town and the back side of City park. From there it cuts off to the right onto its' own away from any traffic and passes the Memorial to our first responders, the Dog Park, The baseball fields, the Frisbee Golf course and out again at the City Soccer fields and swimming pool facility. Continue on along the roadside all the way out to the Airport or walk around the soccer field park and back again. Depending on the time of year you are walking there are Pecan trees all around, Wild Plum trees, Kids playing baseball or soccer, Frisbee golfers, and always beautiful shady spots and benches. Truly a gem that the City did a great job putting in and maintains on a daily basis. If you see a city worker out there tell them "Thanks" for all the hard work they put in; I'm sure they will appreciate it
