Jessie James RIP

Easy cemetery to find and even though Jessie James is buried there it's not commercialized. Locals told us to drive to the very back of the cemetery. You will see a street sign pointing to the grave and it's just a few steps from the dirt lane. Very easy access. I'm glad we went to see it.

    Fun--we did a ghost tour
We were looking for something to do in the evening and we found a midnight ghost tour through this cemetary. It was a fun October activity. It wasn't over the top or anything, just interesting if you are willing to stay up late.

    Historic Cemetery with a View
The Granbury Cemetery is a very well-maintained historic cemetery and contains the graves of many of the founders and famous residents of Granbury. Most interesting are probably the grave of General Granbury, very small and plain, the supposed resting place of outlaw Jesse James, and a number of the descendants of Davy Crockett. The view from the cemetery overlooking the town is breath-taking and worth the visit alone. Recommended for Texas history and historic cemetery buffs. An interesting guide to historic symbols on grave markers is available at the Visitors Center.
