Giant Road Runner, Texas, United States

4.0 (164 reviews) Spent Ranking #1 in Fort Stockton Monuments & Statues

Worth a photo!

My wife and I love all the sculptures and statues in the U.S. In Fort Stockton, Texas is a giant road runner. There is a place to park off the road across the street from it, a nondescript dirt pullout on E. Railroad Avenue. Across highway 285 is the visitors center, and one block south is the Old Fort Cemetery.

    Giant Roadrunner
Its a giant statue of a road runner in the middle of town. Great for a quick stop to take a picture but there isn't really anywhere to park. We parked at the visitor center across the street and walked over. Be careful though as you have to cross traffic.

    roadrunner
We went to see it only due to staying over night in Ft Stockton while driving from Florida to Las Vegas, NV. It was ok to see, if you are wanting to stop in Ft Stockton anyways, then I would stop to see it. Otherwise I wouldn't exit the 10 freeway just to see it. But maybe stop and get food at Bush's chicken and take the kids to see the roadrunner.
