Have to do it!

This was on my bucket list & so glad we went. The Trading Post store has interesting merchandise. They also have maps of the ghost town. Outside the store were some regulars drinking beer &telling stories! The cemetery was fascinating. Loved the dog tombstone!!

    Visiting Terlingua Ghost Town
Terlingua Ghost Town is a fascinating place to visit. There are several restaurants, art galleries, a historic cemetery with gorgeous sunset views, and a wonderful store with a large variety of gift items. At that store, I was able to obtain a brochure for a self-guided tour of the community and it was free with a request for a donation. There are many runs scattered around the community and the location is very scenic. There are several quirky metal sculptures scattered around in addition to some vintage automobiles. The cemetery was my favorite place with its historic gravesites which were very different from the ones you usually see at a cemetery.

    Don't Be Ghosted
Cool little spot if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. A couple things to note: 1. Not really a 'ghost town' 2. Check out the Trading Post 1st and buy the $1 map **numbers dont exactly match, but the descriptions help to understand what you are looking for/at 3. Walking around you have no shade, so don't recommend doing it in the middle of the day 4. Most buildings you just see from the outside or across the hill 5. Be mindful that the cemetery is an actual cemetery 6. Best part: Grab a soda/beverage from the trading post, sit outside on the benches on the porch and take a breather while listening to the locals
