Free during the 2022 Stock show and Rodeo
With one's admission to the 2022 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo admission is free to the Cowgirl Museum, and the Fort Worth Museum of Science & History which also contains the Cattle Raisers Museum. This museum used to be called the Children's Museum and for good reason: basically the entire first floor is geared to small children. For that it is good. On the second floor is a planetarium, which is included in general admission. The current show, "The Black Hole" is a very good presentation. The rest of the second floor contains good exhibits about the cattle drives of the 1800s taking cattle north to be loaded on trains. The barbed wire and other displays are well done. Also on the second floor is the Cattle Raisers Museum. It is informative to the general public. Many years ago there was an excellent display about Temple Grandin; too bad it is no longer there. There was no current special exhibition. We did not see the Imax.

Good for adults and very small children
My 9 year old and I didn't stay long at this museum, as many of the exhibits were targeted at very young or adult attendees. The exhibits were primarily reading and pictures, and not as interactive as we hoped. I felt the price was a bit high for the return, when compared with so many other fabulous more affordable museums in the area. Would suggest the Perot for better value.
