Prepare to Dig

We stopped in and was overwhelmed with the amount of stuff here. We dug a little and found a treasure. I loved the Cacti blooming outside. It was beautiful and worth exploring.

This is what vintage bookstores are SUPPOSED to be like!
I can't say enough good things about Fletchers Books and Antiques. Back before the big chain used bookstores took over and started selling new books pretending to be old books, and antiquarian booksellers were forced online, THIS is what used bookstores used to be like. Half of the fun was in the hunt, and when you found a treasure, you paid a reasonable price for it, not a quarter or a nickel, but a few bucks to help the cool guy with the quirky stacks keep the lights on and the ac cold. That's what Fletchers it. You walk in and the smell of old books takes over, and it just FEELS right. The big room is reminiscent of Harry Potter or an old British weekend house library-- shelves from floor to ceiling and stacked on every surface. The people are nice, the books are hardback and plentiful, and the choices are endless. I'm glad this place is relatively close to my house so I can pop in regularly and check out his new additions (not new editions, because if I want a new edition, I'll go to Amazon). But for the old stuff that I love, I'm going here first. Half the fun is in the hunt! A reader's paradise!

    Eclectic, to say the least
A must stop if you love books, Rare and antique volumnes abound. Plenty of Christian artifacts, stained glass, Small Episcopal Church behind the shop is a MUST SEE. Peaceful vibe while in the store. Just so different from most anthing else you have to experience it to understand
