A great park with something for everyone!

We visited Milburn Park for a concert at the Pavilion. Milburn Park is a multi-use park consisting of 42 acres of land. Inside the park is the Elizabeth Milburn Pool, which has multiple pools, swimming races, lifeguards, etc. There is a daily fee to enter the pool for a day of swimming. There is also a community garden where residents can rent a space to grow vegetables. The park has soccer fields and hosts numerous youth soccer games. It also has a covered basketball court which is also used as a shelter for community concerts from time to time. In the spring and fall the park hosts movie nights. It is the home of the annual Cedar Park fourth of July festival and fireworks show. The Pavilion where we visited is a large, covered picnic area with multiple picnic tables and barbecue grills. There are other smaller barbecue areas around the park as well. Next to the Pavilion, which can be rented for events, there are sand volleyball courts. The park has a walking/running trail about a mile in length. Towards the south end of the park is a small fenced in cemetery that was there before the park was created. I have enjoyed the park, visited the pool and athletic fields many times as well as attended various events at the park. It is a great asset to the city and a wonderful place to visit.
