I think it's great!!
While I am sorry that they had to start charging please keep in mind this is not a decision made by the Library staff. It is a City decision. Cities need funds to run, pay staff, keep the lights on etc. It is an unfortunate fact of life. As far as the Library itself goes - it is great and the staff is friendly and helpful!

Now charging fee for non-residents!
Unless you live within the city of Elgin, there is now an annual fee. It is $15, but many local people cannot afford this, even though they support the city in many other ways
