Informative and interesting... worth a visit
I was in El Paso on business and this museum was the only exploring I got to do. It's what I will remember most about my limited time in El Paso. The museum is dedicated to educating the visitor about the prehistoric and more recent historical lives of the various Indians in the El Paso area. There are plenty of artifacts to see, all of which are nicely labeled in easy-to-understand language. My favorite was the pottery - it was incredible to see how intricate some of the oldest pottery could be. The museum was free but accepted donations. It has a nice little gift shop as well. The museum itself is set at the base of a beautiful mountainous area. The building is surrounded by gardens with local plants and cacti (and, apparently, snakes!). I wish I had had time to walk through the trails. Bottom line: this place is the sort of local museum that has great displays and is worthy of your patronage.

    Nicely done and great exhibits
We were headed to the Border Museum and this was next door. Well worth a walk through. The video was good also so take a few minutes to enjoy it. We didn't walk around the property as it was very hot but their landscaping was nicely done also.
