Great place to visit
In a park setting with excellent water features...tour was well done, well laid out trails, lots to see.

Great city park for enjoying nature and bird watching
I was so impressed with this city park. There is a very nice visitor center with helpful staff and displays. Then there are two large lagoons (resacas) and a smaller one for viewing water fowl. There are walking paths with lots of plants (some are labeled), and a delightful water feature area. There are observation decks. We found that the lagoon on the visitor center side was much easier to access the decks than the lagoon on the other side of the road. Vegetation makes it tough to get to some of the decks on the south pond. There are native plants in a garden setting as well as scattered through the park. This is a lovely place with benches for resting and viewing nature and lots of see. Highly recommend this place. Try visiting at various times of the year because the animal life varies with the seasons. A great migratory pathway for birds. You cannot drive in the park so park outside and enjoy the walking trails.
