Reviving a great little neighborhood
It's great to see a community come together for a cause and bring back a neighborhood that was in despair. Now the people on the outside need to patronize those businesses so they'll thrive. There's so many restaurants, bars and little shops to visit. It's free to walk around and see all of the murals all while getting exercise.

Quirky Neighborhood
This was a nice neighborhood to walk around during the day. The stores and restaurants all seemed to have their own design and uniqueness that gave them character compared to other areas in Dallas. No chain stores located here. Street art were painted all over the sides of buildings and went from simple to exquisitely detailed. Physical art was manifested in a number of welded metal robots (popular theme) and a weirdly shaped pizza above the entrance to Serious Pizza. A few restaurants had lines out the door but the Pecan Lodge was around the corner with over 30 minutes wait for their BBQ. Bars were crazy in the evening so if you are not into them then nighttime here would not be so interesting to visit. Lots of open carrying of alcohol and beer bottles which seemed unusual. Street and lot parking were available but at least the meters were off on Sundays. Weekends were quite busy so the nearby DART stations were good public transport alternatives.
