A Texas Treasure!
This stunning historical courthouse crowns the Denton Square. Many have never been inside, and are missing out on seeing a Texas Treasure! If you are on the Square, go inside this stately county icon, built in 1895. It has a very educational museum that depicts days gone by. This is the 3rd courthouse in this location. Two others burned to the ground. And, founding father, John B. Denton is buried right outside of it. His tombstone states he was a lawyer, preacher and Indian fighter!
