Best old gas station building on Route 66

After completing Route 66, I would rank this as the best old gas station building on Route 66. The outside is gorgeous. Inside is a tiny gift shop and an empty cafe. If this was a functioning retro themed cafe to recreate a part of the Route 66, this would be a knock out destination. The building is so beautiful that I wish there was more to do, such as turning parts of the cafe into displays about the town, the gas station, or general Texas Route 66 info. I wanted to stay longer to admire it but it's creepy to hang out in a small gift shop. (I marked travelled as solo because there's no family option w/o children. Some of us drive around our senior parents. That's family last time I checked.)

    Fun little travel break.
We would have never stopped in Shamrock Tx it was only by chance... so glad we did. Triple J liquor was the first stop we made. We met Kim, she was great told us about the Conoco tower. We took the short walk over to the tower and that's where we met Patsy very nice and friendly we enjoyed talking with Patsy and learning about the history of this little town.

    Best building on Route 66
Amazingly beautiful building on Route 66. Not much else for this town to offer, but there is a hotel across the street. This station is in great condition, has a nice gift shop, and is large enough to see much inside it. See it at night and you can see neon like you could have in the 1940's!
