Colorado River Bridge, Texas, United States

Old Iron 1,285 foot long bridge

The old Iron 1,285 foot long Colorado River Bridge has three steel truss spans and concrete piers that cross the Colorado River. It is part of Loop 150 through Bastrop. The bridge is one of the earliest surviving uses of the Parker truss in Texas. The bridge was built in 1923 and is now a pedestrian bridge but it was closed during my visit.
