Chisholm trail rides offers open riding, private trail rides at all gaits of the horse, for a personal riding experience. We cater to individuals that want to have an authentic, individualized Texas experience, at their pace, on well minded horses. We offer different levels and breeds of horses, from the beginner, to the most experienced rider. We allow BYOB, and picnics. Come ride with us!

Just what we wanted!
Thanks to Ashley our guide and rest of the friendly team. We had a great time. The terrain was fun and varied and the horses were easy to handle and well-matched to each rider. Look forward to our next visit!

SOUL-RELAXING with BLONDIE free in the wind
(Suggestion: no matter what time if the year, wear long pants and a hat.) I chose a sunset ride & boy was it everything that I SOUL needed. My guide was Sidney a young lady who truly LOVES her job. She gave great instruction, was attentive and super sweet. No one else booked my time frame, so it ended up being a PRIVATE SUNSET ride. WHICH WAS AMAZING! It started with a brief "test run" in an enclosed area. This was to make sure Blondie (the horse) and i were a good fit. This was greatly appreciated, because while I rode regularly as a child, I have not done so consistently in years. Next she gave me my own back pack with COLD water. I was stunned. It was a small touch that shows how much the customer is valued. As we rode she provided more instruction as needed, yet gave me such free range. Literally & figuratively lol. I was able to feel like a kid again as Blondie took off. Sidney was right there ensuring my safety. Now, I am no cowgirl, so these runs where exciting, but definitely not done the entire trip. I appreciated the rawness of the trail-it felt more authentic. As we rode, she shared so much information about horses and the business as well as the land. It was such great conversation and I appreciated that she wasn't watching the clock. It was truly about me having a great experience. If you are a beginner- this is the place, if you are experienced- this is the place. The horses are loved, definitely have personality and you will have an amazing time. Even if you book and there's a group, you can go off on your own. What a great way to treat your soul. Ps...it says my picture is too large...but trust me & book ASAP
