My wife and I came down RR 2810 from Marfa to Ruidosa. It is only about 60 miles but takes about 2 hours to drive. This takes you down the west side of the mountains. The road is only maintained about halfway the lower half being gravel and dirt. Some parts only a single vehicle can go at a time. I recommend 4 wheel or AWD with some clearance. Came around a curve and had 5 wild mustangs standing in the road and they were not in a hurry to move...lol

Beautiful
Just mind boggling the amount of open space there is in this part of Texas. Be sure you have a full tank of gas when you hit the road.

The Chianti Hot Springs
It was a wonderful place to relax and meet other like minded travelers. The cabins are quaint and the stone hot springs tub is so relaxing. The communal kitchen allows you to mingle with the other guests.
