Enchanting

We enjoyed strolling through the small but lovely gardens on a rainy afternoon. I think the mist added to the fanciful beauty. When you pay the small admittance fee, ask for the garden guide handout so you'll understand what you're seeing. Be sure to look for quirky things all over. (Actually, before you go, look up the gardens online and read the history. Knowing what the gardens have been through will add to your joy of seeing the beauty today.) If a visitor is in a rush, 30 minutes will do to see the grounds, but if you want to really enjoy what you're seeing . . . well, that could take as long as you have plus another visit!

    Beautiful!
We visited these gardens on a weekend trip to Weatherford. It was a very hot July day approaching 100 F as the high for that day. We went early at about 9:30 am and saw the gardens in about 1 hour. Admission is $5. The gardens and water features are beautiful! Koi fish in the pond. Lots of shade. Would be a great place to sit and read for a while in cooler weather.

A lot of beauty packed into a small space
Really enjoyed visiting and would go back. Realize that you could walk the entire garden area in 30 minutes, but the whole point is to take your time and really take in all there is to see. Lots of gazebos/areas to sit and relax/reflect/take a pause on life. My only disappointment was that the species of flowers/shrubs/trees were not marked-so much beauty to take in and saw some wonderful and beautiful plants- I just don’t know what they are.
