Fantastic vacation for all!

Wow, this place has something for everyone! The guys hunted and were so pleased with their trophies, the gals lounged at the pool with cocktails , and we all watched a giant screen movie on the lawn that night. We already booked again for next summer.

    First Class All The Way
This place is first class all the way! The staff, the facilities, the food, the animals, everything was amazing! The pictures on their website of the Trophy Room don’t do it justice! The Trophy Room is absolutely AMAZING!!! The attention to detail is unsurpassed! We got a tour as soon as we arrived and we were in awe at every turn. If you watch the Bravo show “Below Deck,” I told my husband this place is the ranch version of “Below Deck.” Everyone working there wants to make sure you are taken care of and they do an excellent job at it! We had originally booked a casita because we wanted to have a little more privacy. The casita’s are really nice, but there is no wifi and we weren’t able to watch the tv (which vegging and watching Netflix was part of my plan). We were able to switch to a suite in the Trophy Room and we were glad we did. It was much nicer being able to dine, hang at the bar, and then take a short walk to our room without needing to go outside. My husband hunted while I stayed back in the room. There are tons of activities you can participate in (that don’t include hunting), just ask a staff member. My husband and I decided that we will be making this an annual trip for us. A few suggestions about rooms (based on our experience): again, no Wi-Fi in the casita’s, so keep this in mind if you book a casita. Plus, the large tv in the living area of our casita didn’t have any internet connection and the tv in the bedroom only seemed to have one channel. We ended up moving from a casita to the Vintage Hunter Suite. The suite is very nice, but the sink height in the bathroom has got to be about 3 ft tall, so for this 5’2” frame, I was on my tip toes if I needed to look closely in the mirror. Also, the sink is a little small and the fixtures extend out into the sink, kind of blocking the ability to wash your face easily (they do provide make-up wipes, though, so I used those instead of washing my face). And the toilet is not in a separate area, so if you need to use the toilet at the same time as your family member, go out to use the toilet/restroom by the cinema! That toilet has a heated seat!! I found that on accident because my husband was about to get an in-room massage, so I was trying to exit the room quickly. The Sheep Cabin was another possibility of a room we could have switched to, but the closet is lined with cedar and my husband is allergic to cedar, so keep that in mind. We got tours of almost all of the rooms when we arrived, so we’ve already decided which room we will be picking for our next trip. The Mud Suite and the Texas Suite are AMAZING! Actually, all of the suites are amazing, you just need to pick what suites your needs. Again, the attention to detail in all aspects of this place are unsurpassed! Definitely at First Class experience!

    Always an Adventure!
We just returned from our recent visit to Champion Ranch in Brady, TX. As always, every detail of the trip was absolutely perfect. Our family has visited both the Colorado City and Brady ranches several times over the years and we have always come away with more than we've expected. We've hunted all over the world and Champion Ranch stands second to none in every single way. The entire crew is very accommodating and knowledgeable. The private casitas are well appointed, understated and luxurious. The personalized menus of food and drink are always delicious. The early morning hunts and the evening photo safaris never disappoint... We always see a variety of species and a vast array of quality trophy animals! The best part of both locations are the people who run the operation... Joel and his crew make the place everything... We are always excited to see what's been added to the fun. On our last trip we got to see the training facilities for long range shooting, reloading and the skeet/sport/trap range. We also took a jeep course to help fine tune our ready, aim, firing skills. I have been shooting for over thirty years and with the same rifle for almost four years and the jeep course helped me to gain even more confidence in my ability to troubleshoot and my preparedness for several different shooting scenarios. Most importantly, our family creates cherished memories, our friendships grow and our business relationships are strengthened with each trip. Not to mention, our freezers are full! We will be back again and again!!!
