What a Hidden Gem!
I was surprised to see that this place is not on TripAdvisor. Great campground right on Lake Conroe. Spots are well spaced and the facility is in great shape. Camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. They have several reservable spots but most are walk-ups which tend to fill up quickly on the weekends. Bathrooms are older, but clean. Great trails for hiking and lots of firewood in surrounding area. Book your spots at reservations.gov

What a nice place to stay
This camp ground was clean, had lots of space between spots and was well organized. The spots that back up to the lake are not level at all. It looked like the ones on the interior were more level. I was very worried that once we detached our trailer It would end up in the lake. Bring extra blocks if you plan on camping on the lake side. Also it was one of the highest cost national parks we have stayed at $48.00 for 1 night with electricity ($8.00 for reservation fee) you must have a reservation, even if you drive up they will tell you to call and have a reservation for that night.
