Nice place to stretch your legs and see some outdoor art.

This offbeat roadside attraction features 10 graffiti-covered Cadillacs standing upright in a row, buried nose-first in the ground. The sculpture is the brainchild of Amarillo millionaire Stanley Marsh III, who chose classics dating from 1948 to 1963, the "Golden Age" of the American automobile.

    Unique stop
This was my second visit to Cadillac Ranch. The first time I forgot spray paint so I had to make another stop so I could do some tagging. You Park along the access road and walk down a dirt path to get to the cars. You can bring your own spray point or they have a truck selling cans for $6 each. Do NOT buy paint from the gift shop down the street. It's $10 a can there! We learned that the hard way. It's honestly hard to see anything you spray on the cars because there is so much paint on them. Your best bet is to bring 2 cans of paint. 1 to do a base coat to block out other paintings then 2 would be the one to write or draw what you want. It's in a field by the highway so it is pretty windy. Keep that in mind when visiting cause you may end up with paint on you. It is free to enter and definitely worth a stop at least once.

Live organic art exhibit where you can paint on the cars...
TIP: Stand upwind of the cars and paint, watch your dogs near the cars, as people may be painting from the inside, and sometimes there are children with spray paint cans who are being a bit careless where they aim. This is more of an issue during holiday weekends, not normal days. Neat spot, to check along a road trip. Read up on the history behind this art exhibit. Some walking is involved, not too much but you can park on the feeder road. You are allowed to paint whatever you want or tag the cars. Note you are not allowed to tag the road way, you can get fined for that if caught. If you forgot your paint, there's 2 trailers selling snacks/food, souvenirs and spray paint. One plus, which surprised me on a 4th of July Weekend, there was no crazy "Tourist trap" markup on items there. Spray paint was 6-7$ a can and everything else was reasonably priced.
