    Beautiful!
My husband and I brought our two boys (ages 5 and 16) to Buescher State Park for 2 nights of camping during the week. Benjamin was there to greet us at the ranger station when we arrived. He was really nice! We camped at campsite #22 in Oak Haven. The campsite was very spacious! We were doing tent camping, and my husband did struggle to find a place for the tent since the ground is quite rocky. However, he did eventually find a place for the tent. We liked how the tent was pretty far back from the road by the campsite. We felt it gave more privacy. The electric thing was pretty far from the tent, so bring a 100 ft extension cord if you plan on using electricity in the tent. We discovered shortly after arriving at our campsite that the electricity wasn't working. I alerted the park host, and he came right away. He called maintenance, and they came by quickly. They weren't able to repair it that night, but they came first thing in the morning and worked diligently on it, so kudos to the nice guy that fixed it all! The park is kept very clean and the restrooms are very well maintained, and it looks absolutely beautiful. We didn't go on any of the trails this time, but I'm looking forward to trying out the trails next time. We took the boys fishing on the beautiful river, but no fish were biting. If you are looking for a quiet experience, you may not want to camp at Buescher. It is close to the main highway, and we could hear all the traffic clearly the whole time. Wildlife is also very vocal here especially at night. We all loved our camping experience at Buescher State Park, and we can't wait to go camping there again!
