An Oasis for Sporting Clays
It was a very pleasant surprise to see a high-end sporting clays facility in this part of the Texas Hill Country. The course features a few different landscapes from flatland, grassy areas to winding hills and trees. Located on very historic grounds of an old WWII military training base and POW camp for German prisoners. Pro Shop has everything you need except firearms for sale. After talking with the staff, that is in the works. It's also a place to relax between rounds with coffee and leather chairs. The staff could not have been more friendly and well trained. Course was challenging and clean. You'll need a cart, so bring your own or rent one. Plenty of good places to eat in town. We stayed at the Best Western where the room was clean and the A/C was cold.
