Hidden Gem hidden in plain sight!
My wife and I visited the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History and absolutely loved it. Clean, neat, and pleasant reception. Reasonable entrance fee. This is great to learn about local Brazos Valley / Bryan history. There are photos, artifacts, dinosaur bones, rocks, and a contemporary display (the theme was the history of board games). All done with accuracy and great care. There's also a discovery room for kids of all ages - there are snakes, a tarantula, and even a snapping turtle. A local beehive shows bees busy at work. I would gladly come back for another visit, next time I am in the BCS area.

Great Little Museum
This isn't a very large museum but it is full of information. The buffalo exhibit was very interesting and the mural on the wall is beautiful! There is also dinosaur bones, a wagon, gun exhibit, and living animals in the back. I'm not used to seeing animals in a museum that are alive so I thought this was pretty unique. It was well worth the $5 admission. My only complaint is the gift shop. It is very small. No t shirts or shot glasses for my collection but overall a nice way to spend a couple of hours.

Excellent exhibits - Went when no crowds
Small, well maintained museum...good for a family visit..special exhibits always well done. A hidden gem in the Brazos Valley. Recently saw their bird exhibit...beautifully conceived and displayed.
